Two years in the making... We took the best of what the X5 and Nomad have to offer and blended them perfectly together creating the new 2007 Nomad RC.
As we all know when it comes to high performance tournament slalom skis, all that really matters is, “DOES IT WORK”? Each manufacturer promises every year that they have the best ski or have improved the ski they had last year. I have sat at this computer each season for five years writing copy to convince all of you that we have done our absolute best to produce a ski that will improve your scores.
Some years it has been easy… and others much more challenging. This year I would like to let the ski do the talking. As a fellow competitive skier just like all of you, I am always searching for a ski to help me ski better each year. I truly believe I have found it.

2007 NOMAD RC We took the best features from the X5 Pro and the Nomad and blended them perfectly together to create new Nomad RC. The RC features the speed and quickness of the Nomad, the stability and control of the X5 Pro.Slalom design requires attention to multiple details at the same time. For the first time we have used CAD (computer assisted design) programs exclusively to produce the most symmetrical molds in water-ski manufacturing history. Every inch of every bevel is perfectly blended to give the ski speed and directional stability. The concave exits smoothly and gradually for superior roll-out into the edge change. New Center-Ride rocker technology allows the skier to be centered directly over the skis fulcrum point at all times keeping turns and acceleration incredibly efficient. A true three-stage rocker keeps the ski stable while still turning with maximum angle. As the skis rocker exits the flat spot, our new programmed “rise over distance to the tail” creates the correct radius turns on both sides of the course. If the rise is too quick the ski will “wheelie” at the end of the turn, too slow and the ski feels like it won’t finish properly. We thinned the sidewall profile of the entire ski to get the ski to come back into the turn with a deliberate, predictable consistency you will feel the instant you complete your first turn. Bevel size reduction in key areas allow the ski to ride higher in the water. This produces the effort reduction and speed short-line skiers now demand. The Nomad RC’s flex pattern is very slightly softer when compared to previous D3 models. This keeps the ski decelerating predictably and tightens the radius of the end of the turn by producing dynamic rocker. Every ski we ship must pass 5 critical measurements for rocker and rise over distance and 5 measurements for longitudinal and torsional flex. No other manufacturer comes anywhere close in consistency from ski to ski. The 2007 Nomad RC, one ride and the choice will be clear.
